Description

Kadhwa is one of the most painstaking Banarasi weaving techniques: each motif is woven separately with its own extra weft, instead of the thread being floated across the back of the fabric and cut away. The result is a clean, durable pattern that is part of the silk itself.

Woven in Varanasi and cut into a flared lehenga, it comes in deep wine burgundy or royal blue, for the wedding, the reception or a festival, for the bride’s family and guests alike.
