Description

Raw silk gives this bridal lehenga its body and a subtle, textured sheen, while net adds lightness. The embellishment is zardozi, the metallic thread embroidery of the Mughal courts, combined with dori work, in which cord is couched onto the fabric to draw raised outlines and patterns.

Made in Jaipur in traditional red or a rich maroon. Red is the classic colour of the Indian bride; maroon is just as fitting for the wedding or for the reception that follows.
