Description

Aari work is embroidered with a fine hooked needle that forms a continuous chain stitch, and in Kashmir it is used to cover shawls and stoles with flowing patterns. This stole is made in Srinagar in a fine wool blend, with intricate, continuous aari chain-stitch.

In walnut beige or classic black, it is a warm layer for cooler evenings and dressy enough for a winter wedding, a festive evening or a cultural event, over Indian or Western clothes.
