Description

Chikankari is Lucknow’s celebrated hand embroidery, built from a vocabulary of fine stitches, from shadow work to tiny raised knots. On this saree it is embroidered by hand on pure georgette and lifted with mukaish, small strips of metal twisted into the fabric to catch the light.

Georgette keeps the saree light and fluid, so it drapes softly and stays comfortable through a long day. Ivory white and peach cream are quiet, elegant shades for a daytime wedding, a reception or a festive gathering.
