Description

Phulkari, ‘flower work’, is the folk embroidery of Punjab, worked in darning stitches that build up bold, geometric patterns. On this dupatta the phulkari is embroidered by hand in a Patiala layout on a Chanderi silk base, in Amritsar.

Multicolour with fuchsia, it brightens a plain kurta or suit and is a classic for Lohri, Baisakhi and weddings, as well as festive gatherings and cultural events.
