Description

In a South Indian wedding, the muhurtham is the auspicious moment of the ceremony, and the bride traditionally wears a Kanjeevaram silk saree for it. This one is woven in Kanchipuram in pure silk with gold thread.

Its border is a temple border, rows of triangular motifs inspired by temple towers, woven in gold. The colour, Kalyani orange, is a warm, festive shade that glows beside gold jewellery.
